CAB Address
The Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB) Architecture Integration Lab (CABAIL) at Redstone Arsenal, Ala., recently conducted its first Technology Insertion Event (TIE). The CABAIL is an Army-operated integrated laboratory that approximates the interoperability of the CAB as a lethal maneuver force in selected aviation mission-set vignettes.
TIEs provide a vehicle for accelerating the systems integration of emerging technologies into the CABAIL to help assess their potential operational value to the CAB. The CABAIL consists of multiple high-fidelity aircraft Systems Integration Labs and simulators; a functional CAB Tactical Operations Center with actual mission command systems; and a Networks Integration Center that enables connectivity between the various CABAIL entities.
In order to communicate with a given cab/throttle the command station assigns it an unique train address. These train addresses are independent of whether the cab/throttle is radio or non radio. If the CAB 주소 is changed this impacts both radio and non radio operation equally. This means you need to have a system of managing the cab addresses in use within your layout. This is especially important with wireless cabs.
Remember you only have 16 Radio ProCabs and Non Radio ProCabs to share the pool of cab addresses (2-17). If anyone brings in a new cab that doesn't have its own cab address it must be reprogrammed or reset (with the batteries removed) to avoid conflicts.
If you lose something while riding a taxi, treat it like you're a prime suspect on Law and Order and try to recall as many details about the incident as possible. The more information you can give to the company that manages New York City's fleet, the better they can track down your belongings and return them to you. If you have the medallion number, the name of the cab driver and any other distinguishing characteristics, that will also help. In addition, you can call the city's information service, 311, for help locating your missing item.
